GDPR

General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) came into force on 25th May 2018.  It changes how organisations are required to process and handle data, with the key aim of giving greater protection and rights to individuals.

Gwynedd Council already has procedures in place which comply with similar data protection principles under the Data Protection Act 1998.  In order to provide you with the pension administration service, your personal data is already used in accordance with this legislation.  The new regulations simply reinforces these existing requirements.
