Change in Circumstances

You should notify the pension fund in writing if your circumstances change in any of the following ways:

Change of address

We will require notification of your new address so we can keep in touch and send you a P60 and your Pension Increase letters each year.

Change of name

You will need to inform us of any changes in your name so we can update our records.

Change of marital status

A Death Grant and Annual Pension Benefits may be payable to your dependants upon your death, so it is important that we have the correct information as regards your marital status.

If you retired from the Gwynedd Pension Fund after 1st April 2008, and start cohabiting with a partner of either same or opposite sex, you will be able to nominate your partner to receive survivor’s benefits subject to certain criteria being met.  Upon notification of such a partnership we will send you a co-habiting partner’s declaration form.

Please see the Benefits on death section for full information on the benefits payable to dependants.

Please use the Change of Circumstances form to inform us of any of the above changes, ensuring to enclose all the appropriate documentation. This form can be found in the Attachments section below. Please remember to quote your pension payroll number and / or your National Insurance number.

Change in your bank details

To ensure your pension continues to be paid, you will need to inform us of any changes in your bank or building society details at least 10 days prior to the monthly pay date.  Please use the Bank Mandate form to notify us of any changes in your payment details. This form can be found in the Attachments section below.

Please note that due to data protection regulations, we are unable to accept any change of circumstances details over the telephone.
