Pension Board - Request for new members

Since 1 April 2015 Gwynedd Council have set up a Pension Board to ensure that as the Scheme Manager for the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS) it executes its duties and responsibilities in the following areas: 

  • Securing compliance with the LGPS regulations, the Pensions Regulator’s Code of Practice and any other legislation relating to the governance and administration of the LGPS;
  • Ensuring the effective and efficient governance and administration of the LGPS for the Gwynedd Pension Fund.

The Board has been running successfully for the last few years, however it is now time to re-appoint members of the Board, so Cyngor Gwynedd is looking for an expression of interest from members of the scheme to represent staff and employers on the Board. Membership is voluntary and is limited to 6 members, three of whom are representatives of the Scheme membership and three of whom are representatives of the employers.
